Joe, Th.D., AAPC, ACPE, AAMFT, LMFT #482, is the Executive Director of Covenant Counseling & Family Resource Center. He graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi with a B.A. degree, and continued his education at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, where he earned his B.D. and Th.D. degrees. Joe is a Diplomate with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and an approved Supervisor in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. He is also licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia. Joe specializes in individual therapy for adults; couples and family therapy; individual and group therapy for adult survivors of sexual abuse; individual and group therapy for recovering alcoholics; and group therapy for adults dealing with a variety of emotional issues. Joe is an ordained Minister in the United Methodist Church, North Georgia Conference.

Kerry, D.Min., AAPC, ACPE, is the Associate Director of Covenant Counseling & Family Resource Center. Kerry attended the University of Wisconsin and earned his B.A. degree at the University of Georgia. He did graduate training at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, where he earned M.Div., Th.M., and D.Min. degrees. A Fellow with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, Kerry specializes in psychotherapy designed to help clients find the best in themselves, which they can use to overcome obstacles in their relationships with themselves, others, and God. Kerry is an ordained Minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA).

Denesha is a Licensed Professional Counselor and staff therapist at Covenant Counseling. She obtained a B.S. degree in Business Administration at Florida A&M University, as well as, a M.S. degree in Community Counseling from Mercer Atlanta University. With more than 10 years of experience, Denesha has worked with various populations providing core services, college counseling and career development, juvenile offender mental health services, inpatient hospital assessments and crisis counseling. Through her mental health and community outreach services, she demonstrates a strong belief in the importance of mental health being a priority in achieving a healthy life. She has a passion for helping people live a life they love and thus thrive, not just survive. She is able to help individuals, families, and couples with varying mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, adolescent issues, anger management and relationship/marital therapy. She is certified as both an Anger Management Specialist and Prepare-Enrich facilitator.

Melody, LPC, has been active in the mental health and substance abuse field since 2004. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale, her Masters in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University Atlanta and currently attends University of Phoenix, where she is pursuing a MBA in Business Administration. She received her license in the state of Georgia in Professional Counseling at the associate level in May of 2006 and was granted full licensure as a Professional Counselor in June of 2009. Melody was licensed as a minister at New Mercies Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Jesse Curney, III on July 1, 2007. Melody recently published her first book entitled: PK Syndrome: Do You Have It?. Melody has had the opportunity to work in a variety of areas in the mental health and substance abuse field in the following settings: crisis line, inpatient, outpatient, Christian Counseling and community mental health. In these settings she has provided assessments, crisis intervention, counseling, audits, reauthorizations and education. She currently specializes in Relationship Counseling, Christian Counseling & Crisis Counseling.

Keynia Hardley is a Resident Therapist in supervision, who received her Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University with a double minor in Journalism and Marketing; Special Education Certification from The University of Georgia; and will receive her Masters of Art in Marriage & Family Therapy from Northcentral University in Sept 2015. At Covenant Counseling, Keynia provides therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families. Keynia’s background includes over 13 years as a special education teacher, over 16 years of marriage and 6 children. Keynia works closely with families of special needs children (Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, Emotional Behavior Disorder etc) to develop skills in order to manage the challenges as well as live an overall improved quality of life. She helps couples experience greater connection, intimacy, communication and relationships. Keynia, facilitates workshops and trainings geared toward improving the ways and means individuals, couples and families interact with one another with the goal of enhancing their overall way of life. Keynia has served as a youth leader through the years in several capacities further impacting the lives of families. Previously, along with her husband, she co-hosted the radio show, The Parenting Handbook Live, that aired bi-weekly on iCandy Radio, WICR 92.9FM, Goldsboro, NC. Keynia believes her purpose in life is to help bring health and wholeness to individuals, couples, and families through theraputic sessions.

Martha, LMSW, has been active in the social work field since 2009. She received her Bachelors in Psychology from Georgia State University, and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia. She received her license in the state of Georgia as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in August 2013. Martha has had experience working in many clinical/community settings including, hospice, transitional housing, domestic violence and homeless/low-income needs. Martha has also had experience facilitating early memory loss support groups, program development for older adults, and interventions for those experiencing geriatric depression and dementia. Martha has worked in hospice for the last two years, providing clinical interventions and resources. She has provided families with assistance in managing anticipatory grief and coping with the loss of a loved one. Martha has worked with older adults for the last three years including home hospice, geriatric outpatient settings, developing an older adult resource guide, providing assistance with placement as well as other needs.
